HYDRAULIC PUNCHING
Specimens for material testing
The punching of tensile specimens and tensile specimen blanks made of flat material and metallic foils has been an established method of material testing for many years. However, correct and reproducible test results require that the tensile test specimens or blanks used are manufactured precisely and consistently. Standards require that the work hardening in the edge zone of the flat tensile specimens caused by punching is removed by milling, for example. However, this post-processing is time-consuming and cost-intensive. For over 20 years, we have been offering innovative solutions for the economical production of tensile test specimens and blanks from flat material. Thanks to H&E's specially developed tool technology, post-processing is reduced to a minimum without compromising the quality of the test results.
HYDRAULIC PUNCHING
Precise punching with minimal work hardening
Tensile test specimens are manufactured using hydraulically operated punching presses from H&E, which work with optimized punching speed and precisely manufactured tools. The exact guidance of the punches and the centered alignment of the die minimize work hardening in the edge zone of the specimens. These sample punching tools are low-noise, low-maintenance, can be reground several times and are suitable for material strengths of up to 1800 N/mm² as well as for cold and hot strip. They offer a unique performance spectrum and process material thicknesses from 0.3 to 8 mm.
HYDRAULIC PUNCHING
Automated and resource-saving punching
The production units from H&E are coordinated so that the individual work steps run automatically. Sample sheets are automatically placed on the support table, aligned and clamped before the actual punching process takes place. Further work steps such as labeling, sorting out deformed parts or further transport to the next processing station are also fully automated. This automation reduces manual intervention and makes H&E's sample punching extremely resource-efficient and economical.
Demand-oriented investment planning:
Thanks to the H&E modular system, numerous system solutions are available that enable needs-based investment planning. The system solutions are based on H&E products such as the HEP hydraulic single-column press, the HMST hydraulic multifunctional punching press and the HSP hydraulic column press.
Example systems from H&E
When maximum precision is required in the production of tensile specimens, the fully automated specimen punching presses from H&E guarantee reproducible test results and reliable production - without any time-consuming post-processing.
