HYDRAULIC PUNCHING

Tube punching machine with linear axis

The previous machine was already innovative thanks to the use of servomotors for the punching process. But now we are expanding our expertise to a new level, moving precisely and synchronously in vertical and horizontal directions with linear modules. The system guarantees positioning accuracy and repeatability down to the µ. We achieve this through the use of high-precision position measuring systems. We ensure error-free, continuous operation. In addition, the system is equipped with permanent load compensation to keep energy consumption to a minimum. Until now, linear motors could only be implemented in horizontal applications, but we have gone one step further globally and realized a vertical installation position. The machine is an optimization of the first punching and embossing machine.

One robot was replaced by two vertically arranged linear motors and a horizontally mounted linear motor with grippers to improve the performance and accuracy (µ range) of the machine in the long term. First, the pipes separated from the bunker are measured and picked up aligned by the robot. The first station approached by the robot is used for micro-oiling. The handling system then picks up the tube with the first gripper and places it in the punching station. The second gripper then takes the finished punched tube to emboss it. The third gripper positions the tube in the penultimate station to brush it. The pipe is transferred to an empty station by the fourth gripper. There, the last gripper takes the tube and turns it 90° to place it on the conveyor belt.
