The base frame is a solid welded steel construction made from a rectangular tube with a base plate. The oil drip tray is covered with grating. A device for holding 3 oil containers and a gas bottle is located on the base plate and on the oil drip tray. The pneumatically operated and manually height-adjustable clamping device is used to clamp the shock absorber tubes and consists of a manually height-adjustable parallel gripper with prism-shaped jaws. The electrically height-adjustable support table is used to support the shock absorber tubes. The clamping and press-in device consists of a hydraulic cylinder, linear guides and a carriage for holding the gas filling bell or the pressure piece for pressing in the shock absorber guide pack. The compression device consists of a hydraulic cylinder and a pressure piece arranged on the piston rod. The hydraulic unit is designed as a compact unit and is located at the rear of the base frame. The electric control cabinet is located on the side of the base frame.
