HYDRAULIC PRESSES

HRP 160 (3)

The HRP 160 in-drum compactor is designed as a hydraulic frame compactor and is used to compact low-level radioactive operational waste inside 200 l drums. The frame press is protected against radiation on all sides by welded steel plates. A manually lockable double-leaf swing door is located at the front.

The press is loaded with the drum pallet and the drums using industrial trucks through the front swivel door. The movable drum pallet is equipped with spring-mounted heavy-duty ball rollers. A sump is located in the closed drum chamber floor. The sump is used to collect any escaping liquids during the pressing process. The supply and exhaust air connection is located on the upper cover plate of the machine body.

The drum is filled to a certain level with the low-level radioactive waste by the operating personnel via the two sliding loading doors. The following operating modes are available for compacting the waste: press down/up and press down/hold pressure. The press ram movement for compacting the waste is triggered via buttons.
